What Our Clients Say

  • Basement Conversion

    ★★★★★

Steve McDowell and his team did an outstanding job converting my basement to an apartment with a full kitchen, bath, living space, office and dining area.

From the start, Steve was professional and highly collaborative helping to create the floor plan and select flooring, cabinets, lighting, HVAC options and more.

Throughout the process, the team stayed on schedule and communicated regularly and thoroughly. Any issues or additional requirements were quickly identified, communicated and resolved.

The end result is a beautiful, full function apartment as seen in the pictures. I would absolutely recommend Steve and team and thank them very much for a job well done.

  • Finished Basement

    ★★★★★

Steve and his team were great! They took our basement with shoddy construction and turned it into a space that was functional and clean. Below are a few before and after photos. They removed the old walls, updated the electrical and lighting and applied a tough epoxy coating to the floors. Steve was very responsive with keeping me up to date on progress on my project and made sure I knew exactly what was happening. He also made sure everything was how I wanted it before moving on to the next stage. His prices are very fair as well, we had gotten a quote from another contractor that was much more expensive. McDowell Repairs and Makeovers LLC will be our first call in the future!

  • Kitchen Remodel

    ★★★★★

We were looking for a contractor for a remodel of our kitchen and we were referred to Mr. McDowell. We had two meetings with him and we were impressed with his willingness to listen to our needs. We contracted with him for our kitchen. The results were everything we expected and more. We hope to use him on another project. We definitely recommend him.

  • Bathroom Remodel

    ★★★★★

We had our bathroom remodeled and could not be happier with the result. Not only was the work done quickly, the attention to detail was evident in the final product and our bathroom looks amazing. We will not hesitate to contact McDowell Repair & Makeovers for future home projects.
